Heart Rate Calorie Tracking Watch?
I’m interested in purchasing a watch that tracks my calories burned and heart rate throughout the day regardless if I am excercising or not. The only ones I’ve found have a chest strap or transmitter that you have to wear to track your calories – does anyone know of any watches that track calories and heart rate that do not require any addition straps or tracking transmitters?
I looked for a watch exactly as you described a couple months ago. I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for so I finally settled on a Polar F7. It has a chest strap which sounds unpleasant, but you get used to it (actually, the watches with the chest straps are more accurate than those without the straps). The watch only records the calories burned when you start exercising (you push a button to tell the watch when you begin), but in theory you could just record all day long if you want to know how many calories you burn throughout the day. It keeps track of your heart rate in real time too so you can watch how your heart reacts to your activities.
