Reptiles:

1. An adder skin hung from the rafters will prevent fire; A skin hung by the chimney will bring luck.
2. The skin will draw thorns out of the body.
3. Seen by the front door, the adder is a death omen.
4. If a lizard crosses the bride's path on the way to get married she will never be happy
5. If you wear a snake skin around your head you can cure a headache
6. No snake will approach anything made of ash wood
7. If the right foot of a tortoise is carried on a ship, that ship will not be able to move very fast

Amphibians:

1. Frogs attract friends to ones house along with good luck
2. croaking during the day is an omen of rain
3. If a frog comes in your house by its self, goof luck is coming
4. It is unlucky to kill a frog
5. The toad is an omen of pregnancy
